LAKE OZARK, Mo. --- Ever been fishing?

The answer is probably yes.

Like it?

It doesn't matter.

Even if you don't, you just might love it --- and your chance for that love to blossom is coming soon.

The 10th Annual Big Bass Bash will be held Oct. 1-2 at the Lake of the Ozarks with a total prize package of --- get this --- $250,000.

Yes, the number of zeroes is correct.

Loving it yet?

The top prize for the biggest bass of the weekend is a whopping $100,000 and the best part is, this tournament is for amateurs ONLY, no professionals allowed, no tournament winners allowed, no fishing guides allowed.

Entry fee for the two days is $175, or $125 for one day. There is a Kids Division, for youth 12 and-under, with a cost of $10 per day. Competition will be held 7 a.m.-3 p.m. each day, with the awards ceremony set for Sunday, Oct. 2, at 4 p.m. at Grand Glaize State Park.

The prize for the second-biggest bass of the weekend is $20,000, third is $10,000, and fourth is $5,000. In all, there will be 240 places paid out, as well as prizes being awarded every two hours --- with a top prize of $2,000 for each time slot..

Online entries will be accepted until midnight, Sept. 29. To register and for all the tournament information, go to www.BigBassBash.com

The tournament is part of the Anglers in Action Trail and is sponsored by Ranger Boats.

Be prepared, because this event has grown into something big ... very big. And not just in prize money. Normally, a tournament with 400 boats and 800 anglers at the Lake is considered large, but this tournament is expected to have more than 2,500 anglers.

Still, it's the chance of a lifetime for the ordinary angler to win some serious cash. And have the fish story of a lifetime.

What'$ not to love?
