Pride providing entertainment
for Henke Golf Classic Banquet

Sept. 27, 2017

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. --- Central Missouri is about to get a healthy dose of Pride, as country music legend Charley Pride will provide the entertainment at the Tom Henke Charity Golf Classic banquet that will be held Sunday, Oct. 8, at the Firley YMCA.

Tickets are $80 for an evening that will include rubbing shoulders with several current and past sports stars and celebrities, cocktails, a catered meal by Revel Catering, and some great silent and live auctions.

There will be several must-have sports memorabilia items up for bid --- such as a Kurt Warner autographed St. Louis Rams jersey and a suite that will accommodate 18 people at a St. Louis Cardinals game next season --- and restaurant and golf packages. But the highlight of the auction will be a trip to the 2018 Fantasy Camp with the St. Louis Cardinals next January in Jupiter, Fla.

Doors open at 4:30 p.m. and dinner will be served at 6 p.m., with the festivities concluding around 10 p.m. You can purchase tickets by texting "Henke" to 855-735-2437, going to bidr.co/events/henke, or by calling Debbie Hamler at 634-3070.

On Monday, the golf tournament will be held at 10 a.m. at Eagle Knoll. There are still a few spots available for the four-person teams, with a cost is $250 per player. Every team will be joined by a celebrity, such as Justin Smith, Joe Crede, Mel Gray and KRCG Sports Director Rod Smith.

Proceeds for these two great, fun-filled events is the Special Learning Center, which annually serves over 600 children with special needs. Since the banquet and golf tournament started in 1995, over $1 million has been raised for the center.
